5 Lines – not rhyming
1st line – a noun, 2 syllables
2nd line – 2 adjectives descriing the noun, 2 syllables each
3rd line – 3 “……ing”words describing noun, 2 syllables each
4th line – a 4 word phrase about the noun, 2 syllables each
5th line – another word for the noun, 2 syllables
Green leaves turn to gold,
from crimson to russet brown,
until they gently fall.
It was Ladies Day at Ascot, and I wore my Ascot hat,
it went with the posh outfit I bought to hide all of my fat
I said I would never wear it again, it’s just too silly,
and I really feel stupid looking oh so very frilly.
Oh to have these pretty pictures framed and hung upon my wall,
they bring back such pleasant memories that seem to say it all.
But I’ve lost the better photos that my lovely daughter took
and all that I have got left now are these prints that do not look
like they will last much longer before the vibrant colour fades,
and they will lose all their bright detail and their beautiful shades!
I am sitting here now at my desk, crying into my cup
so I think I’d better go away and do the washing up!
